If you need urgent mental health care near you

Mental health crisis services differ by state and location. Healthdirect provides current information about state and territory crisis services and can help you find local mental health and hospital services.

You can also call healthdirect on 1800 022 222 at any time to speak to a registered nurse. They can advise what care you need and how urgently you need it, which is useful when you are not sure whether a situation is an emergency.

If contacting another service feels difficult

If you have someone who can help, such as a family member, friend or support worker, you can ask them to sit with you while you make contact or help you work out which service to call.

If the situation is urgent, do not wait for a response from Mindkit. Use one of the immediate support options above.
